Lost but not alone

I feel lost without you.

I’m in a room full of people but still alone because you’re not there.

Everywhere I was in this life, you were never far away.

Everywhere I am in this life, you are still not far away.

If I was leaving a place, you were waiting for me around the corner.

If I was off the phone, you were the next call.

I loved you for all of my life.

I didn’t lose you.

I know right where you are.

And I will be there too someday.

The hope I have of seeing you again is the joy left in my heart.

I hear you speaking to me from heaven.

I don’t hear an audible voice but I recognize the words that come into my head.

They are your words.

We are only separated for a short time.

Even death has lost its power over my love for you.

This sting is short lived.
